The George Mason University College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) invites applications from highly qualified individuals across all teaching licensure areas to supervise teacher candidates completing internships as part of Mason’s licensure programs. Mason seeks individuals with licensed teaching experience in early childhood, special education, elementary, secondary, English as a second language, foreign languages, and health and physical education. The university has a strong institutional commitment to faculty excellence and encourages candidates who enrich its academic and culturally inclusive environment.

University Supervisors will demonstrate knowledge of evidence‑based practices to be used in content‑specific classrooms.

Supervisors will be hired each semester on an as‑needed basis and on a per‑candidate/credit‑hour basis. This position is open on a rolling basis; candidates will be contacted as supervisors are needed across CEHD programs. Qualified applicants will have their resumes kept on file for future consideration.

• Practice evidence‑based practices in content‑specific classrooms.
• Provide performance feedback and coaching, professional expertise, and resources to teacher candidates.
• Collaboratively assess teacher candidate performance in the classroom.

• Minimum of a master’s degree or higher in education or related field.
• Minimum of three years of licensed teaching experience in a related field.
• Availability during the school day to conduct in‑person observations and evaluations in classrooms across Northern Virginia school districts.

• Minimum of five years of licensed teaching experience in a related field.
• Coaching or supervision experience in a related field.
