The Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia (Pozez JCC), located in Fairfax, Virginia, is a nonprofit, social service organization that builds community and enriches lives. The Pozez JCC is a community connector, offering a variety of programs and services on the main campus, online and throughout Northern Virginia through its many partnerships. Quality programs and experiences, based on Jewish values, include early childhood education, after-school & day camps, social programs for families raising young children, J-Fit health & aquatics activities, adult learning and cultural programs, inclusion and disabilities services, community impact through volunteerism, and more.

The Pozez Jewish Community Center seeks a dynamic, flexible teacher to join our educational team in Fairfax for our year-round, full-day early childhood center for infants through Pre-K at the Pozez JCC's Early Childhood Learning Center. The ECLC is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and our staff co-teach in a professional and collaborative environment.
Qualifications• All applicants must have experience working with young children, preferably within a classroom setting
• Must be organized and have excellent writing skills
• Must have experience working with young children in an early childhood setting
* CDA or Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Essential Position Duties• Implement the Reggio Emilia-inspired philosophy
• Maintain a cheerful, nurturing, healthy, safe and clean environment
• Communicate regularly with families and administrative staff
• Monitor growth and development of each child
• Protect the rights and privacy of children and families by maintaining strict confidentiality
• Work towards increasing knowledge and abilities in the field of early childhood education
Hours:
School is open Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm (assigned 8-hour shifts begin at 7:45am)
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary commensurate with experience and education.
