About the RoleIf you’re looking to join a nationwide and fast-growing industry, join the team that’s striving every day to make the world more sustainable. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inspection Sitter to support our solar installation team during scheduled inspections. The Inspection Sitter will be responsible for being on‑site to meet inspectors, grant access to the property, and ensure the inspection process runs smoothly.
This role requires someone punctual, professional, and comfortable interacting with both inspectors and homeowners.
Location & Travel:
This position is based in Fairfax, VA, with required travel to job sites.
- Be present on‑site for scheduled inspections to represent the company.
- Provide inspectors with access to the property and equipment.
- Open the main electrical panel safely for inspection.
- Answer basic questions from inspectors or direct them to the appropriate team member.
- Communicate inspection results and notes back to the project team.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with inspectors, homeowners, and other parties.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Prior experience with electrical work or solar installation preferred.
- Ability to safely open and close main electrical panels.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
- Basic understanding of solar or electrical systems is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a criminal background check.

Hourly Rate: $24–$26 per hour commensurate with experience. Those without any installation or solar experience will begin at the lower end of the range.
