The Solar Site Surveyor is responsible for conducting on‑site assessments for residential and/or commercial solar installations. This role ensures accurate system design, verifies site conditions, and gathers the necessary data to support engineering, permitting, and installation teams.
Location & Travel:
This position is based on Fairfax, VA, with required travel to job sites.
- Perform on‑site property assessments for prospective solar installations
- Collect detailed measurements of roofs, electrical panels, and structural components
- Capture photos and document site conditions, obstructions, and shading factors
- Identify potential installation challenges and code compliance considerations
- Review main service panels and verify electrical capacity
- Upload accurate survey data into CRM/design software in a timely manner
- Communicate findings with sales, engineering, and operations teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Must have a valid state driver’s license
- Must have a clean driving record (example- no DUI in the last 5 years)
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre‑employment criminal, driving and drug screen

Hourly Rate: $24 - $26 per hour commensurate with experience. Those without any installation or solar experience will begin at the lower end of the range.
