Position: You will support technical recruiting for critical engineering and technical roles including Aerospace Engineers (AEs), Mechanical Engineers (MEs), Software Developers, Electrical Engineers (EEs), Integration & Test (I&T) engineers, and related disciplines. Working directly with engineering leadership, hiring managers, and production teams, you will build talent pipelines and proactively source passive candidates from the defense and aerospace communities. This hands-on role operates side-by-side with the recruiting team and cross-functional partners to attract, evaluate, and close top engineering talent while maintaining full compliance with ITAR, security, and equal-opportunity requirements.
Responsibilities- Execute end-to-end recruiting processes for engineering and technical positions across Mechanical, Aerospace, Software, Electrical, and Integration & Test disciplines.
- Develop and maintain robust candidate pipelines using Linked In Recruiter, defense-industry networks, clearance job boards, employee referral and targeted outreach.
- Partner with hiring managers and technical leads to understand role requirements, craft compelling job descriptions, and align on search strategies and success profiles.
- Screen candidates for relevant technical experience, manufacturing background, security-clearance eligibility, and cultural fit.
- Support recruiting leadership of candidates from initial contact through technical interviews, offers and onboarding.
- Potential to represent CoAspire at career fairs, industry conferences, and professional networking events in the aerospace and defense sector.
- 1 – 8 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally within aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing.
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing and closing Mechanical Engineers, Aerospace Engineers, Software Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and I&T professionals.
- Solid understanding of engineering terminology, defense-industry requirements, ITAR-controlled environments, and security-clearance processes.
- Proficiency with Linked In Recruiter and any Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and consultative skills with both technical candidates and engineering leadership.
- Experience recruiting candidates with active Secret or higher security clearances.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with defense manufacturing, production engineering roles, and talent-acquisition best practices in a high-growth environment.
