The successful candidate will be a part of a diverse team of engineers working on a variety of projects, ranging from small site developments to large scale commercial and residential projects.

This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with a focus on Land Development to join our dynamic Engineering team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial land development projects, providing technical expertise in storm drainage and stormwater management, site development, grading erosions, and sediment control. The successful candidate will be proficient in using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and will be expected to contribute to the design and planning of our major projects in Montgomery County.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and manage all phases of land development engineering projects, including conceptual, preliminary, and final engineering.
2. Develop and implement innovative design techniques that enhance the productivity of the assignments within the company.
3. Provide technical expertise in storm drainage and stormwater management, site development, grading erosions, and sediment control.
4. Prepare and review engineering plans, calculations, reports, and other project-related documents.
5. Coordinate with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
6. Apply standard engineering design principles and methodologies, and provide suggestions for improvement.
7. Perform quality control checks, ensuring the design complies with all relevant engineering standards and codes.
8. Attend meetings with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and utility companies to coordinate projects.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) required.
3. Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial land development.
4. Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
5. Demonstrated experience in storm drainage and stormwater management, site development, grading erosions, and sediment control.
6. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methodology.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical information.
9. Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
10. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
