Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA track strongly preferred)
- 2–5+ years of experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or private organization
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Experience with tax software (e.g., CCH, Thomson Reuters, Pro Series, or similar)
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
- Research and interpret complex tax issues, regulations, and legislation to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities.
- Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability and improve overall tax efficiency.
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax estimates, extensions, and required filings.
- Reconcile tax accounts and maintain supporting documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Assist with IRS and state tax notices, audits, and inquiries by preparing responses and supporting schedules.
- Support tax provision calculations and financial reporting requirements under GAAP/IFRS as applicable.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulatory changes affecting client or corporate tax positions.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting of tax-related items in financial statements.
