Addison Group is seeking a Tax Associate or Senior Tax Associate for a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients. This role will support a variety of tax compliance, tax planning, and tax reporting initiatives while working closely with accounting, finance, and external advisors. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing complex business and individual tax returns and will be comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and review partnership, S corporation, C corporation, individual, and trust tax returns
- Assist with tax compliance, tax planning, and tax reporting activities across multiple entities
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to review tax work papers, fixed asset schedules, and supporting documentation
- Support the preparation of tax projections and estimates
- Research federal, state, and local tax matters and stay current on emerging tax regulations and guidance
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency within the tax function
- Assist with tax audits, notices, and inquiries from regulatory agencies
- Work with outside tax advisors and consultants on various tax-related projects
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation to support compliance and internal controls
- Participate in special projects and strategic tax initiatives as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of tax experience in public accounting or a corporate tax environment
- Experience preparing flow-through entity returns and individual tax returns
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- CPA license or CPA candidate status
- Experience working with high-net-worth individual tax returns
- Exposure to real estate, construction, development, or related industries
- Experience with tax planning and tax projection preparation
