About the Role
Responsible for the sales and marketing of Truist Mortgage Loan products within bank policies and procedures as well as providing consistent, effective referrals of mortgage clients for other bank services, including qualifying packages and insurance products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Execute effective mortgage marketing and development plans to meet or exceed agreed upon mortgage production goals.
- Maintain a complete and thorough knowledge of mortgage strategies, policies, procedures, and secondary market investor guidelines utilized by Truist.
- Adhere to and comply fully with all Truist policies and procedures related to internal and external rules and regulations, especially those established by state and federal law.
- Provide mortgage clients sound mortgage advice based on a full understanding of client needs, Truist mortgage products, and their benefits.
- Consistently execute on Truist's referral process by introducing mortgage clients to other bank solutions for deepening client opportunities.
- Assist Mortgage Loan Fulfillment with client, attorney, or appraiser document follow-up as determined through quality control or post-closing review.
- This position is paid solely on commissions based on the applicable standard commission rate and terms and may include a salary draw. Additional incentive pay is available.
- 1+ years experience in a banking and/or lending environment with basic knowledge of residential property types.
- Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
- Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment, including new registration or transfer of registration, and have an applicable NMLS acceptable background check.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or related studies, or equivalent financial sales experience.
- Two or more years of experience in residential mortgage lending with solid knowledge of the local market and regulations.
- Previous sales awards and leadership positions.
Job Requirements / Working Conditions
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Visual, audio, and speaking skills; ability to access and interpret client information from the computer and communicate in person and by phone.
- Manual dexterity and standard office equipment proficiency (keyboard, mouse, copy/fax machines, printers).
- Availability to work all scheduled hours, including overtime, and travel up to 75% as required.
