Clinical Nurse

Requirement/Must Have:

• Current Registered Nursing license.
• Knowledge of standard research and oncology care practices.
• Strong understanding of patient safety and protocol compliance.

• Clinical nursing experience required.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Clinical trial experience preferred.

• Adhere to applicable federal, state, and institutional regulations related to clinical research.
• Ensure compliance with clinical trial protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with investigators, pharmacy, and clinical teams to ensure proper study drug use and accountability.
• Identify and address barriers to effective informed consent.
• Confirm informed consent is obtained before study-specific procedures.
• Perform complete patient assessments, including vital signs and pre-examination procedures.
• Document patient data accurately in medical records.
• Assist providers during consultations, treatments, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient care across departments and external organizations.
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, medications, and disease processes.
• Triage patient calls and coordinate referrals, testing, and documentation.
• Ensure completion of protocol-required study visits and assessments.
• Assess patient adherence to study requirements and implement interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with investigators on treatment scheduling and dose modifications.
• Ensure evidence-based symptom management per protocol.
• Perform medication reconciliation, management, and patient education.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation and protect patient confidentiality.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a clinical research setting.
