MRI Tech Aide – Outpatient | Fairfax, VA | PRN

Fairfax Radiology Centers — the largest radiology practice in Northern Virginia — is looking for a detail‑oriented and patient‑focused MRI Tech Aide to join our busy MRI Center in Fairfax, Virginia
.

In this vital support role, you’ll assist MRI Technologists with non‑clinical tasks, help clarify physician orders, and ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience. Your professionalism, organization, and care will make all the difference in keeping our center running seamlessly — and in making patients feel at ease.

• Location: MRI Center - Fairfax, Virginia
• Schedule: PRN Evening shift coverage from 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Free on‑site parking

• Provide outstanding service to patients and families, explaining MRI procedures clearly and compassionately.
• Set up the MRI suite for exams and assist patients with safe transfers to and from the imaging table.
• Start IV access prior to procedures (when applicable).
• Ensure patient comfort, modesty, and safety throughout the process.
• Communicate with physician offices to clarify and complete MRI orders.
• Confirm critical exam details (body part, laterality, contrast use) and request order modifications when appropriate.

• 1+ years of experience in a medical or radiology office (preferred).
• Ability to start IVs (highly preferred).
• Experience in one of the following roles:
  • Medical Assistant
  • MRI/CT Tech Aide
  • ED Tech
  • EMT or Paramedic
  • Nursing Student (after first clinical)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required at hire).
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Strong communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor.
