Licensed pharmacist to prepare and verify non-sterile (and, as assigned, sterile) compounded preparations, ensuring accuracy, quality, and full regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Compound and perform final verification of patient-specific and office-use preparations per USP / standards
- Review prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, dosing, and interactions
- Supervise and verify the compounding work of pharmacy technicians
- Maintain master formulation records, batch records, and beyond-use dating
- Counsel patients and prescribers as needed
- Support quality assurance, documentation, and recall procedures
- Active pharmacist license (Virginia, or eligible for Virginia licensure)
- Minimum 2+ years of compounding pharmacy experience required
- Working knowledge of USP , , and
- Experience with pharmacy management/dispensing systems (Best Rx a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and disciplined documentation habits
- 503A pharmacy experience
