Licensed Professional Counselor

Clear Horizon Forensic & Counseling Group is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to support the continued growth of our Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) services on-site in Fairfax County, VA.

We are specifically seeking a clinician who is willing and able to travel on-site to juvenile detention facilities to administer Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessments to justice-involved youth. This position is ideal for a clinician who is comfortable working within structured, multidisciplinary environments and is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system.

Knowledge of the Fairfax County, VA juvenile court system and local resources available to court-involved youth a plus.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish a plus

• Provide Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessments to justice-involved youth
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation and notes
• Collaborate and coordinate with juvenile detention facility staff, case managers, probation personnel, and other members of the youth’s treatment team
• Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary communication as appropriate
• Maintain professional, ethical, and confidential clinical practices in accordance with agency, facility, and regulatory requirements
• Travel to assigned juvenile detention facilities in Fairfax, VA

• Active Virginia Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license
• Experience providing behavioral health services to adolescents
• Experience addressing mental health, behavioral, emotional, or substance-use-related concerns
• Experience working with justice-involved youth or other court-involved populations preferred
• Previous experience in juvenile justice, correctional, forensic, residential, or similar settings is highly beneficial
• Strong clinical documentation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to assigned facilities

This is a1099 Independent Contractor position. Contractors are responsible for maintaining all applicable licenses, registrations, credentials, professional requirements, and insurance related to the services they provide.

Scheduling, caseload availability, and service expectations will be discussed during the interview process based on current program and client needs.
