We are currently seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with a strong background in data analytics and product development to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career in Ashburn, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain ML models for various AI applications. Continuously refine models for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and insights. Develop hypotheses, design experiments, and validate findings using statistical methods.
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines ensuring data quality and usability. Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data infrastructure.
- Support AI product development from prototyping to deployment and monitoring. Work with product managers, designers, and QA teams to integrate AI features.
- Implement monitoring and alerting for AI model performance and product KPIs. Conduct ongoing maintenance to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Work collaboratively within a large, Agile development team.
Qualifications
Required
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, +4 years of experience;
or
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, +2 years of experience.
- Experience working on AI, machine learning, or data analytics projects.
- Proven track record of developing and deploying AI/ML models in a production environment.
- Experience with product development life cycles and Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Experience with MLOps pipelines and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with SQL and No
SQL databases, and data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop. - Experience using analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, Plotly).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for model deployment and data storage (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- 3-4 years of experience preferred.
Customer Requirements:
- Clearance – Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation.
- Citizenship – Must be a US Citizen.
- Location – Hybrid with on-site (Ashburn, VA) visits 1-2 days per week and if a mission need. All candidates must be within the GWA/commutable area.
