Job DescriptionData Systems Analysts, Inc. is seeking an experienced Information Assurance/Security Specialist (Senior) to ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards and maintain the security of information systems within the Army Resource Cloud (ARC/cPROBE). The candidate will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, implementing security controls, and maintaining RMF documentation to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to enhance cybersecurity operations and support the adoption of new security frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information assurance, federal cybersecurity compliance, and experience with tools such as eMASS and RMF processes.
- Active DOD Secret Clearance
- Current Security + Certification
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253 Security Controls
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another relevant field is required.
- Foundational knowledge in IT systems, programming, and cybersecurity principles.
- A minimum of 3 to 6 years of IT and business/industry experience is required.
- Experience working with information assurance, cybersecurity frameworks, and IT systems in a professional environment.
- The candidate must comply with DoD 8570.01-M, DFARS , and AR 25-2, which mandate appropriate baseline certifications for information assurance roles.
- CISSP, CISM, or other 8140 certifications highly desired.
- Experience with RMF processes, including implementing security controls, conducting assessments, and maintaining compliance documentation.
- Understanding of the NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253 Security Controls frameworks is essential for ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.
- Hands‑on experience in managing cybersecurity operations, conducting vulnerability assessments, and implementing security measures in line with federal regulations.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of systems to ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, including RMF and FISMA requirements. This includes identifying vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Report any control violation findings through the organization’s risk management framework or model.
- Develop and maintain plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms) for deviations from compliance.
- Maintain relevant documentation related to information security, including RMF and eMASS records.
- Ensure systems are compliant with DoD and Army cybersecurity policies and standards, and support the adoption of new security frameworks as required.
