IT Consultant, Systems Engineer

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career in Ashburn, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Develop software requirements supporting system needs with a strong understanding of business requirement
- Review software architectures implemented with a variety of operating systems and coding languages to include RHEL, C/C++, Java, and Python
- Understand the interplay required between software and hardware to achieve system objectives and business requirements
- Communicate with and understand end user needs for implementation into software designs
- Work collaboratively within a large, Agile development team
Qualifications
Required
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
- Experience directly working with the design, testing, integration, and/or operations of systems with extensive software requirements
- Experience developing requirements specifications, design documentation, and user interface mockups to software applications and incorporating user feedback into designs
- Excellent verbal/written communication and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels
Customer Requirements:
- Clearance – Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation
- Citizenship – Must be a US Citizen
- Location – Hybrid with on-site (Ashburn, VA) visits 1-2 days per week and if a mission need. All candidates must be within the GWA/commutable area
