OVERVIEWAt phia we hire talented and passionate people who are focused on collaborative, meaningful work, providing technical and operational subject matter expertise and support services to our partners and clients. phia is seeking a Senior Full Stack Integration Engineer to serve as a designated Key Personnel expert for a federal agency. This high-impact role requires a T-shaped technical lead: someone with deep backend mastery in Java/Spring, frontend proficiency in React, and the architectural chops to manage complex middleware and messaging systems.
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of production-grade, cloud-native microservices, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and integrated into a modern container environment.
- Architectural Development:
Design and maintain high-performance, distributed applications using Java (Spring Boot/Cloud) and React. - Middleware & Messaging:
Engineer robust integration solutions using the web Methods Suite (Integration Server, Universal Messaging) and messaging platforms like Red Hat AMQ, IBM MQ, and Apache Kafka. - Cloud‑Native Orchestration:
Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments via Kubernetes and Helm charts. - Automated Dev Sec Ops :
Build and enforce fully automated CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions) incorporating automated security scanning and dependency vulnerability management. - Data & Performance:
Optimize data persistence across Oracle Exadata, Postgre
SQL, and IBM Db2, utilizing Red Hat Data Grid (Infinispan) for distributed caching. - Observability:
Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, App Dynamics, and Splunk.
- A Technical SME:
You possess a rare blend of Full Stack coding ability and System Architect vision. - A Security-First Developer:
You don't just write code; you secure it using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and TLS standards. - An Integration Specialist:
You are comfortable bridging legacy systems with modern cloud-native microservices.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. - Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of IT experience with proven expertise in backend Java/Spring and frontend React. - Key Technical Stack:
- Integration: web Methods Suite (IS, UM, MWS).
- Backend:
Spring Framework (Boot, Cloud, WS). - Frontend:
React
JS. - Messaging: AMQP, JMS, Kafka, IBM MQ.
- Clearance:
Public Trust / Suitability.
- Citizenship:
Must be a U.S. Citizen. - Work Hours:
Monday through Friday, 0900 - 1700 EST (except for Federal holidays). - Work Location:
Washington, DC. In-person - Travel:
Minimal travel may be required.
