Job DescriptionCGI is seeking a high‑potential Advanced SAP S/4
HANA Functional Consultant with experience in the SAP ECC or S/4
HANA Materials Management (MM) module, or SAP Procurement for Public Sector (PPS). The successful candidate will work closely with clients to lead workshops, understand requirements, design and present solutions, configure SAP, and complete full lifecycle implementations associated with the Request to Procure (R2P) and Procure to Pay (P2P) business process areas of the federal government. The primary focus is on design, configuration, and testing in SAP S/4
HANA Public Sector, with the experience and/or desire to grow and mentor an agile team focused on R2P and P2P within PPS or the MM module. This role requires a strong understanding of SAP Federal Financial Accounting processes and solutions.
- Facilitate the implementation of requirements, design solutions, and configure SAP MM for the Public Sector to enhance client business functionality and overall performance while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate workshops to review business requirements and translate them into system requirements, with the ability to identify gaps, issues, and work‑around solutions across financial management, procurement, and asset management functions.
- Act as a liaison with the client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and resolve software problems; map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; and develop necessary product modifications to meet client needs.
- Design, configure, and test PPS and the MM module in SAP S/4
HANA to support teams dedicated to R2P and P2P. - Create Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and support the creation of Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and To‑Be process designs for SAP S/4
HANA solutions. - Serve as a primary resource for the successful implementation of SAP S/4
HANA, providing functional expertise, guidance, presentations, and instruction on SAP products to clients.
- U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a CGI background check are required before beginning work; ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 9 years of SAP consulting experience in materials management or procurement.
- Expertise in financial management best practices, including demonstrations, test scripts, and functional/technical design documents.
- Expertise in configuration and implementation of MM or PPS.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes within the federal government and familiarity with a range of concepts, regulations, and procedures governing how federal agencies acquire goods and services, such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
- Knowledge of key integration points between SAP modules.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities; capable of explaining strategies and technical information in a way that builds rapport and ensures understanding among both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience using SAP Activate methodology.
- Experience with end‑to‑end SAP implementations.
- Certification in SAP S/4
HANA. - Experience integrating with SAP application areas such as Materials Management (MM), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Project Systems (PS), and Funds Management (FM).
