ECS is seeking an API Engineer - Journeyman to support the Army National Guard (ARNG) ENOCS program by developing and maintaining robust application programming interfaces (APIs) that facilitate secure and efficient system integration. The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability between enterprise systems, contributing to the overall mission success by implementing cutting-edge Dev Sec Ops practices and continuous monitoring solutions.

This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain APIs to support internal and external system integration.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure secure data exchange.
- Integrate logging and monitoring capabilities consistent with Dev Sec Ops requirements.
- Collaborate with application developers, database administrators, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable API services.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of interface specifications.
- Ensure API integrations align with enterprise architecture standards and cybersecurity policies.
- Support integration testing within Agile or Dev Sec Ops development environments.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of API development processes and practices.
- Clearance: TS//SCI Eligible required
- S. Citizenship required
- DoD 8140.03 Compliance:
DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 651-Enterprise Architect at the Basic proficiency level - Certifications (one or more required): CND
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-10 years of experience in application development, system integration, or interface engineering within DoD or Federal IT environments
- Proven experience developing and maintaining APIs for secure data exchange and interoperability
- Experience with authentication, logging, and monitoring implementations in Dev Sec Ops environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support enterprise API services
