Job Description Program Overview The Army National Guard (ARNG) Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) program delivers comprehensive enterprise IT infrastructure, WAN, cybersecurity, and associated services to the ARNG and its mission partners. The program supports more than 120,000 users and 141,000 endpoints across approximately 2,800 sites spanning 54 states and territories, enabling Title 10 and Title 32 missions, domestic emergency response operations, mobilization readiness, and classified SIPRNet operations.

This position is contingent upon contract award. Task 7 - Enterprise Architecture (EA) - provides architecture governance, data management, and IT planning services that ensure ARNG's enterprise systems and infrastructure remain structurally aligned with current and future mission objectives. This task area oversees infrastructure architecture, network design, capacity planning, policy and compliance, and DoDAF viewpoint development, supporting the ARNG G6's ability to make sound, architecture-driven decisions for the modernization and consolidation of its enterprise IT environment Position Summary ECS is seeking a Network Construction Technician - Journeyman to support the ARNG ENOCS program by installing, configuring, and maintaining telecommunications and network infrastructure.
The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the operational availability and reliability of network systems, directly contributing to the modernization and efficiency of ARNG Enterprise operations. This position involves hands-on work with circuit provisioning, cable installations, and equipment upgrades, aligning with Army and DoD standards to support enterprise network design and transition efforts. Responsibilities
* Install and configure telecommunications and network infrastructure to support ARNG operations.
* Perform circuit provisioning and cable installations, including fiber and copper termination.
* Conduct equipment rack installation and connectivity testing to ensure compliance with Army and DoD standards.
* Support WAN implementations and infrastructure modernization projects at various ARNG sites.
* Troubleshoot network hardware and transmission systems to maintain operational reliability.
* Document installation processes and update configuration records accurately.
* Coordinate with engineers and architects to facilitate enterprise network design and transitions.
* Ensure all network activities comply with security and safety requirements. Required Skills
Required Qualifications
* Clearance:
Secret Eligible required
* S. Citizenship required
* DoD 8140.03 Compliance:
DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 441-Network Operations Specialist at the Basic proficiency level
* Certifications (one or more required): A+, Network+
* Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in telecommunications and network infrastructure within DoD or Federal environments.
* Proven experience in circuit provisioning, fiber and copper termination, and rack integration.
* Demonstrated ability to support WAN implementations and equipment upgrades.
* Experience troubleshooting network hardware to ensure operational availability.
* Ability to document installations and coordinate with engineering teams effectively. Desired Skills Desired Qualifications
* Clearance:
Active Secret preferred
* Experience with ARNG or similar DoD environments.
* Familiarity with Army and DoD network standards and protocols.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in network infrastructure tasks.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Experience in infrastructure modernization and network design support.
