Systems Engineer - Journeyman

Overview

ECS is seeking a Systems Engineer - Journeyman to support the Army National Guard (ARNG) Enterprise Network Operations and Cybersecurity Support (ENOCS) program. This position is contingent upon contract award.

• Design and integrate enterprise systems architectures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Implement performance optimization strategies to improve system functionality.
• Support modernization and sustainment initiatives for enterprise IT systems.
• Develop technical architecture documentation to guide system implementation.
• Coordinate implementation activities across network, hosting, and security domains.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and security requirements.
• Support system lifecycle sustainment through proactive maintenance and updates.
• Apply DoD architecture frameworks and RMF requirements to ensure compliance.
• Utilize STIG guidance and configuration management processes for secure solutions.

  Secret Eligible required
• S. Citizenship required
• DoD 8140.03 Compliance:
  DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Work Role 651-Enterprise Architect-Enterprise Architect at the Intermediate proficiency level
• Certifications (one or more required):
  Security
  
  X / CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP, FITSP-D, GDSA, GSEC
• Education:
  
  Bachelors in [Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering]
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in enterprise systems engineering within DoD or Federal environments.
• Experience designing and integrating systems architectures in DoDIN-connected environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure modernization and system integration strategies.
• Knowledge of DoD architecture frameworks and RMF requirements.
• Experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation for IT systems.

• Clearance:
  Active Secret preferred
• Experience with ARNG or similar DoD environments.
• Familiarity with SIPRNet operations and classified network management.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and practices in Federal IT environments.
• Experience with enterprise-wide IT infrastructure and WAN management.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a high-stakes operational environment.
