Apply on the Virginia portal→Applications go through the state’s official system — Civic Works only tracks the posting.## Summary The Director, Digital Technologies and Services leads the University Libraries' technology infrastructure and digital systems at George Mason University, managing the Alma/Primo library services platform, IT infrastructure, web services, and desktop support across four campus libraries. This position reports to the Associate Dean for Digital Strategies and Systems and supervises a team of library faculty and staff on technology initiatives and projects.
The role requires strategic direction in emerging technologies, change management, emergency preparedness, and collaboration with library departments to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.### Key qualifications
* ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library or Information Science or equivalent certified foreign degree
* Significant experience leading digital technology initiatives with demonstrated ability to stay current with evolving information technologies
* Considerable experience with Library Services Platform technology and technology project management including planning and delivery of complex initiatives
* Experience supervising staff and teams
* Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
* Ability to build relationships and foster collaboration across diverse teams
