CGI Federal seeks an experienced Momentum Senior Support Business Analyst to join a dynamic program supporting a federal agency wide financial system. In this role, you'll perform day to day financial management tasks in Momentum, providing escalation level support, improving processes, and acting as a bridge between clients and technical teams. This position offers growth in client engagement, technical knowledge, and innovation within a mature and collaborative environment.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities- Resolve support tickets (payments, budget discrepancies, interfaces, journal entries) in Momentum
- Analyze business processes, document requirements, and develop/configure solutions
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot escalated issues
- Support month end, quarter end, and year end close activities
- Assist with internal control and audit readiness tasks
- Coordinate and test system updates, patches, or upgrades
- Communicate regularly with clients via help desk, user group forums, and stakeholder meetings
- Provide functional testing support: build test scenarios, validate Momentum configurations and reports
- Mentor business analysts and contribute to best practices sharing
- 5-8 years of hands on experience with Momentum (Accounts Payable, Budget Execution, Vendors, General Ledger, or Reporting modules)
- Background in federal financial systems
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Strategic/critical thinking
