Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to support a technology and engineering firm that develops specialized solutions for complex data collection, analysis, and mission-critical communications in highly demanding environments. There are 6 openings available for this role. This position is on-site based in Fairfax, VA. This is a direct placement opportunity supporting internal R&D efforts within a well-established engineering focused environment offering long term stability and growth.
Responsibilities for the Dev Ops Engineer include:
* Design, build, and maintain automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines
* Write and enhance automation code to improve system reliability and efficiency
* Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance and scalability
* Support and troubleshoot production and development environments
* Manage and deploy applications within containerized environments
* Maintain and improve cloud-based infrastructure and Dev Ops processes
Required Qualifications for the Dev Ops Engineer include:
* Strong background in Linux systems
* Hands-on experience with Terraform & Ansible, CI/CD tools (Git Lab, Jenkins, etc.), Scripting (Python or other Linux-based languages), and Docker and Kubernetes
* Experience with AWS Gov Cloud or secure cloud environments
* Bachelor's degree (highly preferred for mid-to-senior candidates)
* Active Top Secret Clearance or higher Compensation for the Dev Ops Engineer Include:
* Salary Range : $115,000 - $155,000
** Depending on Experience*
