Seeking Consulting Engineer candidates with relevant Education and Academia Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Education and Academia Sector Clients such as GMU. Provide services and support as a Consulting Engineer [IT Consulting and Staff Augmentation Services] in the Education, and Academia industry sector focusing on Human Capital Solutions for clients such as George Mason University (GMU) and Information Technology Services (ITS). The position is generally located in CONUS – Fairfax VA and across the Mid Atlantic Region.

Design, build, and deliver—transforming ideas into scalable IT solutions that drive measurable outcomes.

• Design, configure, and support infrastructure and systems.
• Troubleshoot complex IT issues.
• Implement upgrades, patches, and integrations.
• Work with platforms like M365, Splunk, and VMware.
• Participate in incident response.
• Support cloud and hybrid deployments.

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in systems engineering or infrastructure roles.
• Networking, virtualization, scripting, enterprise systems support.
• Technical depth, analytical thinking, reliability.
