Spanish and Portuguese Linguist Interpreter​/Translation

Position: Spanish and Portuguese Linguist Interpreter/Translation up to 25% travel
This role will enable you to utilize both your linguistic and analytical skills for mission-driven roles. You will translate and/or transcribe intermediate to advanced-level printed materials, including but not limited to: technical manuals, foreign language periodicals, and audio files into correct grammatical American English. You will work either lead or be part of a team of linguists supporting CONUS and/or OCONUS operations.

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree or its equivalent (4 years or more of on-the-job experience in the Specific HLT field) Testing requirements:
Approved testing, translation and speaking, listening and reading Years of related experience:
Must have a minimum of THREE years of work as a professional translator and/or interpreter within the past seven years, OR a recently completed M.A. degree in translation and/or Interpretation

Work Location:

WMA - time to be split between two locations in the WMA area Language and level required:

Accurately translate report/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that not only contain facts, but also some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances Ability to capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text Ability to identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts Web. Must posses computer skills: including MS Office, to be able to produce written translations and products sufficient internet skills that will allow basic research on the Web Excellent English-language skills verbal communication skills to present briefings Powerpoint is required - What You Can Expect:
