Bilingual French/Bambara Linguist - Travel Only

CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates for French and Bambara language professionals to join our prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA.

This is a travel only role. You will be deployed for 4 to 8 weeks at a time and back for 4 to 8 weeks.

• Accurately translate reports/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that contain facts and abstract language.
• Capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text.
• Interpret accurately, with the ability to do consecutive interpretation and on rare occasions simultaneous interpretation.
• Identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts.
• Possess computer skills including MS Office and sufficient internet skills for basic research.
• Have excellent English-language verbal communication skills to present briefings.
• Transcribe audio or internet materials with high degree of accuracy and expression.

• Must be a US citizen.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph.
• Ability to pass an advanced English test.
• Ability to score ILR Level 3 or higher on target language translation test.
• Ability to deploy with an active passport.
• Minimum five years' professional experience conducting translation, transcription, and/or interpretation.
• In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target language geographical areas.
• Master use of MS Office and internet research.

• Bachelor's degree.
• Previous military experience.
• Good understanding of one or more regional dialects.
• Consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation abilities.

This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. Individuals who apply may also be considered for other positions at CACI.
