Maintenance Technician - Fairfax, VA
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property's buildings, equipment, and grounds by completing repairs, preventive maintenance, and resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities- Complete maintenance work orders and service requests.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry repairs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and property inspections.
- Prepare vacant units for new residents.
- Maintain common areas, amenities, and grounds.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ year of maintenance, facilities, or property management experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and work in varying weather conditions.
