Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager for a long-term role managing several projects at Dulles Airport. Our client specializes in interior commercial construction across various sectors including aviation, educational, commercial, government, hospitality, and tenant fit-outs. The Project Manager will oversee the construction and management of multiple contracts, ensuring successful completion from bid to award to project close.

Responsibilities

+ Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

+ Manage projects ranging from $100k to $10M from bid to award to completion.

+ Perform site inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents.

+ Manage the RFI and submittal process.

+ Create and maintain project schedules.

+ Bid new projects, conduct scope reviews, and coordinate with subcontractors for project estimates.

+ Review, process, and negotiate change orders.

+ Create and track project budgets.

+ Engage in marketing and business development activities.

+ Manage 2-3+ projects simultaneously.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of experience as a General Contractor in Construction as a Project Manager.

+ Proven experience in commercial construction including scheduling, RFIs, and submittals.

+ Must have experience with airport projects.

Skills & Qualifications

+ Opportunity for certification and advancement to Project Manager track.

+ Experience in construction management, GMP projects, fast track tenant build-outs, interior renovations, design-build, and base building projects.

The Project Manager will work both in the office located in Fairfax, VA and on-site at Dulles Airport. The work environment is open and team-oriented, with direct collaboration with company owners and executives. The company is mid-sized, with annual performance reaching $50M. Employees are expected to be team players and contribute effectively to project success.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRFAX, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $55.00/hr.
