The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Acquisition Program Manager (GS-1101-14) to work in either the National Capital Region (NCR), Langley AFB, Virginia, or Tampa, Florida.
DutiesAs part of the Policy team, the position performs the following duties:
Member will serve as the Acquisition Program Manager for the Mission Partner Capabilities Office (MPCO) in the National Capital Region. The mission of the MPCO is to deliver critical coalition Command, Control and Intelligence information to the warfighter to support multi-domain effects. The selectee will develop acquisition strategies, manage award of contracts, and manage cost/schedule/performance, and deliver capabilities.

Qualifications- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
- Selectee must be a member of an Acquisition Corps at the time of appointment.
- Selectee must execute, as a condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in Federal Service in this position for at least three years. In signing such agreement, the employee does not forfeit any employment rights, nor does such agreement alter any other terms or conditions of employment.
- Employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the position.
- Incumbent will be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random drug testing for drug use.
- Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement.
- Supports the management of a portfolio of projects/programs throughout the acquisition cycle, often with no closely related precedents and award of a new future effort estimated at $6B.
- Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates activities of functional specialists including contracting, engineering, program control, test, and logistics.
- Leads a team of highly talented, hand-picked acquisition professionals (civilian, support contractor).
- Represents the organization at department and executive levels presents programmatic and budget information to Congressional staffers and members and works with senior contractor/industry representatives.
- Interfaces with organizations throughout the intelligence, military, and mission partner community to leverage shared development, funding, and resources.
- Ability to independently make decisions in line with the director’s strategic intent.
- Ability to utilize strategic context to prioritize needs across a broader family of systems.
- Ability to develop talent within the Department of the Air Force.
- Minimum 8 years in Systems Program Office (SPO) or Air Force Services Acquisition experience preferred.
