Our mid-size GovK client in Fairfax, VA is looking to hire a Contracts Manager. This is a newly created role based on their recent growth. Contracts Manager leads a team of 3-5 supporting a major DoD business unit with a strong focus on hardware development and production programs. Reporting to the Director of Contracts, this role provides leadership across the full contract lifecycle, manages a small portfolio directly, and serves as the primary escalation point for the team.
The Manager ensures compliance, drives consistency, and strengthens communication flow across programs transitioning from development into low-rate and full-rate production. Position is hybrid - 2 days/week in-office. Top notch management team... good work/life balance/benefits/culture.
- 8+ years' experience in GovK contract administration and negotiation.
- Experience/leadership supporting hardware development and production programs (LRIP, Full Rate, Sustainment, etc.), including delivery, inspection, and acceptance requirements.
- Experience leading or mentoring contract professionals.
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and contract types (T&M, FFP, cost-type).
Compensation is targeted at $150-165K based on experience.
