Job Summary
Perform a wide variety of electronic or mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or subassemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing component installation, substrate lamination, hand cutting and cleaning on assembly units. Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Perform the various tasks necessary to assemble electronic assemblies for production. This includes the documentation necessary to track the traveler and the assembler's performance.
Key Responsibilities- Build computer servers per technical specifications
- Complete sub-assemblies
- Document daily actions in detail by completing production and quality forms
- Fill out required forms (paper/on-line) for hardware configuration, troubleshooting, defective equipment, and build status correctly and in detail
- Follow operations manual, written instructions, and defined best practices and guidelines in quality assurance for wiring, cabling, and system configuration
- Handle computer parts and chassis per ESD and safety guidelines
- Transport servers to and from stations per QA and safety guidelines
- Maintain safe, neat and clean working environment by complying with 5S guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulations
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- One year of experience working with computer hardware components
- CompTIA A+ Certification (equal to 2 years of work experience)
- CompTIA IT Fundamentals Certification (equal to 1 year of work experience)
- Experience with the following IPC standards preferred: IPC J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620
- Certification as a CIS (or CIT) to IPC standard IPC-A-610 or the ability to successfully obtain certification within 6 months of hire (required).
- Associate degree in computer technology or related field (preferred)

- Constant movement and use of limbs. Specific abilities required by this job include prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and frequently pinching and/or gripping. Sometimes, working under a microscope for long periods of time will be required.
- Frequently observe, detect, discern, and convey information. Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Requires good manual dexterity and coordination, and stamina. Specific abilities required by this job include the frequent requirement of overtime work.
