Overview
The Machine Operator safely and efficiently operates sawmill equipment to process logs and lumber according to production requirements and quality standards. This position is responsible for monitoring machine performance, maintaining product quality, and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards.

- Monitor machine operation to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production flow
- Conduct daily inspections
- Maintain cleanliness of operator cab and work area
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and team members
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Sawmill, wood products, or forest products industry experience preferred
Required Qualifications
- Ability to safely operate equipment while maintaining production and quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to recognize operational issues and take appropriate corrective action
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
