Salary: $20,000 annually
Position SummaryThe Cultural Arts and Adult Programs Coordinator plays a vital role in fostering an inclusive, vibrant, and engaged community. This position is responsible for supporting special interest groups for older adults, providing administrative and logistical backing for cultural arts events, and elevating the visibility of adult programming through dynamic social media and virtual community management. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director, Community Impact and Engagement, the Coordinator will collaborate closely with community members, volunteers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality programming that aligns with organizational values.
Whatyou'll do
- Program & Group Support: Facilitate, support, and help sustain special interest groups and clubs tailored for senior adults, ensuring a welcoming and enriching environment.
- Event Administration & Execution: Provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support for cultural arts events, lectures, performances, and workshops (e.g., tracking registrations, coordinating space setups, communicating with vendors or speakers).
Provide on-site support for live events, including occasional evenings and weekends as schedules require. - Marketing & Content Creation: Create engaging, creative marketing materials and graphics specifically designed for social media platforms to promote upcoming events and activities.
- Digital Engagement & Visibility: Maintain an active, positive, and consistent presence for Adult Programming across social media platforms and virtual community spaces to drive engagement and connect with a broader audience.
- Community Relations: Act as a warm and responsive point of contact for program participants, answering inquiries and gathering feedback to continually improve programming.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as Non-Profit Management, Communications, Human Services, Digital Humanities, or Cultural Studies) or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in community organizing, event coordination, or program support.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in standard office software and experience utilizing social media platforms and digital design tools (e.g., Canva). - Project Management: Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Relationship Building: A proven track record of relationship building, volunteer coordination, and delivering excellent client/member service.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, intergenerational populations, and individual stakeholders.
- Cultural Knowledge: Knowledge of Jewish traditions, culture, and values is strongly preferred.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, with the adaptability to attend and support program events that fall outside of standard business hours.
