The Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Inova Fairfax Medical is hiring an experienced CVOR RN. We are seeking a Registered Nurse with at least two years of specialized CVOR experience to join our team. Sign on Bonus & Relocation bonus is available for eligible candidates.
The department offers full-time & part‑time positions with a variety of schedules, including day, mid, and night shifts.

- Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.

- Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions.
- Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues.
- Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct Cardiovascular Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Education: BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- License: Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
- Certification: Basic Life Support with American Heart Association.
- AORN's Periop 101 curriculum completion.
- Scrub experience.
- Level 1 trauma experience.
