Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for an experienced RN Perianesthesia Clinical Nurse Mentor.

The Perianesthesia (PACU) Unit has 38 bays serving a diverse surgical population across many service lines in a Level 2 trauma‑designated facility.

The team is self‑motivated, hardworking, and highly proficient with staggered shifts, including night and weekend. They care for Phase 1 and Phase 2 patients and collaborate closely with the Pre‑op team.

• Develop expertise in training, coaching, and mentoring staff through high‑quality nursing care.
• Orient, educate, and develop nursing staff to ensure competence and ability to fulfill responsibilities.
• Provide support to novice and advanced nurses and preceptors for smooth transition into practice and the work environment.
• Integrate knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet clinical and social adjustment needs of all team members.
• Participate in design, delivery, and evaluation of educational programs to promote clinical development and career progression.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 2 years progressive nursing experience in the specialty, 3 months preceptor experience.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association;
  Licensed or eligible for RN license in Virginia or active multi‑state RN license.

Hours:

Part‑time, 20 hours/week (regular office hours)
