Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor CV Neuro ICU - Nights

Location: Inova Alexandria Hospital, Alexandria, VA, United States

Job Schedule: Full time, Night shift (7:00 pm‑7:30 am)

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a full‑time RN Unit Supervisor for the Cardiac Vascular Neuro ICU, a 16‑bed unit focusing on vascular and neuro patient populations. This position includes a sign‑on bonus and relocation bonus for eligible RNs.

• A front‑line leader accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to Quality and Best Practices to improve clinical operation of the unit; embraces, uses, and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit‑based shared governance and decentralized decision‑making structures and processes.
• A role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making Patient Experience a priority on unit(s) of responsibility. Seeks every opportunity to meet the unique needs of each person we serve - every time, every touch.
• Ensures care is patient centered. Continually pursues activities that enable smooth clinical operations/flow and compliance with Inova's goals of providing safe, equitable, patient‑centered, timely, efficient, and effective care in a holistic and evidence‑based practice environment. Values and promotes collegial working relationships within and among disciplines.

• Experience: Minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
• Education: BSN or Associate Degree RNs that are within one year of obtaining their BSN.
• Certifications: BLS required. ACLS within 90 days.
• Licensure: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Completion of RN Unit Supervisor and Charge Nurse Training within 3 months.

• 2 years of ICU RN experience
• Charge nurse or supervisory experience
