Inova Cardiology Arrhythmia Clinic | Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) | Full Time days:
Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.

• Performs essential duties needed for clinic or non-acute operations, including:
  • Full intakes
  • Reconciliation of medications
  • Patient education
  • Stress testing (regular, echo, nuclear)
  • Help patients manage INR
• Provides safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way in an outpatient setting, incorporating differences into care and balancing knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet patient and family needs.
• Uses data and information to improve care and outcomes, ensuring continuous practice improvement.
• Provides direction, guidance, and mentorship to others as a preceptor and resource.
• Ensures efficiency in care delivery, prioritizes immediate needs, offers problem solutions, and works with the team to maximize productivity.
• Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge from education and experience.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Associate’s Degree (ADN) with requirement to complete BSN within five years of start date if holding ADN.
• Licensure: RN licensed or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Experience:
  
  No prior registered nurse clinical experience required.
• Certification:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

• Greater than two years of RN experience, especially in Cardiology Nursing (e.g., IMCU, PCU, Tele, CVICU).
• Experience with anti-arrhythmic drug monitoring, cardiac monitor review, post-operative incision checks, pacemakers or defibrillators.
• Proficient with EKG rhythm identification.
