Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 – Children’s Multispecialty

Full time, day position, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Inova Children’s Multispecialty is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2 to join the team. This role will support the pediatric multispecialty unit by coordinating patient care, administering medications, and maintaining documentation.

• Coordinates referrals for patients with chronic care conditions and follows up as indicated by the initial care plan of the specialist or primary care physician.
• Administers prescribed oral and intramuscular medications, therapies, and treatments following practical nursing standards and under direct physician supervision.
• Communicates effectively with healthcare team members, patients and families; supports team members to achieve goals and assigns tasks to care assistants.
• Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes and physician orders; documents all patient care activities per documentation standards and legal requirements.

• Education: Vocational / Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing.
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Experience: 2 years nursing practice in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.
