BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and CPI required. Two years of experience required. Seventy-three rooms and twenty-four hallways. One major and one minor holiday. Level 1 trauma center – will not take trauma patients but need strong ED experience. Must have at least level I or II trauma level experience. EPIC experience and previous travel highly preferred. We are stroke, STEMI, and trauma.
We do not hold psych patients – we medically clear them and they are admitted. We do use sitters for suicidal patients. We do have security in the ED. We do not have a separate fast track area. They are seen in the non-acute side of the ED. We see about 350 patients a day. Must be willing to take 1-2 on call shifts per schedule.
Must be willing to float to one of the offsite EDs. One in Fairfax City – it has 10 beds and sees about 40 patients a day. The other is in the Reston/Herndon area – it has 7 beds and sees about 25 patients a day.
