Registered Nurse (RN) Infusion Center

Job Description

Inova Schar Cancer Institute’s Adult Infusion Clinic is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the team s role is full‑time, day shift Monday – Saturday. Nurses work three 12‑hour shifts and the clinic is open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

As an Infusion Center Registered Nurse you will communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others while respecting and understanding all clinical disciplines.

You will provide comprehensive patient and family education about treatments, medications, chemotherapy and related care, keeping patients and families informed about all aspects of the plan of care.

You will serve as a resource, preceptor and mentor, and will assume responsibility for ongoing self‑development in lifelong learning. Your leadership skills in decision‑making and problem‑solving are essential, as is working with the healthcare team to provide patients and families with appropriate resources and support.

• At least 1 year of registered nurse clinical experience.
• Education:
  
  BSN or ADN (if ADN, complete BSN within 5 years of start date).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Chemotherapy Card required within 3 months of hire.
• RN license and eligibility to practice in Virginia.
• Proficiency in English, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proficient computer skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a caring demeanor toward others.

• Previous chemotherapy infusion experience.
• Previous Epic experience.
