About the PositionThe Social Work Postdoctoral Research Fellow will gain research experience related to interpersonal violence, focusing on under‑recognized victims and technology applications for prevention and intervention. The fellow is funded by the Enochs Endowment and will assist in administering the Enochs Interpersonal Violence Research Collaborative, participating in monthly meetings and larger convenings.
In addition, the Fellow will be involved in all aspects of research projects—data collection, management, analysis, and production of deliverables such as grant reports, training programs, manuscripts for publication, and conference presentations. The Fellow will collaborate with faculty teams and mentor Masters‑ and Bachelors‑level research assistants. Career development opportunities include submission of peer‑reviewed articles, training in statistical and qualitative data analyses, dissemination of findings, and grant proposal development.
The position will begin on August 15, 2026.
Responsibilities- Contribute to interpersonal violence research projects, including data collection, data analysis, manuscript preparation, conference presentations, and other deliverables.
- Terminal degree in a related field;
Ph.D. expected at the time of appointment in social work, psychology, sociology, criminology or criminal justice, public health, or a related discipline. - Experience in interpersonal violence research.
- Background in qualitative data analysis.
- Experience working on a research team.
- Solid understanding of interpersonal violence research.
- Advanced data analysis skills for both quantitative and qualitative data sets.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, NVivo, Dedoose).
- Experience producing scholarly research (manuscripts, conference presentations).
- Experience with surveying software such as Qualtrics.
- Experience leading or managing research teams.
