Senior Scientist​/Engineer

ERG seeks a senior scientist/engineer to support our work for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). We support research projects for federal and non-profit clients and seek support on projects focused on characterizing hazardous waste sites and evaluating remedial alternatives. The position will involve close collaboration with diverse practices across ERG.

• Provide research support on research projects for the U.S. EPA, states, and nonprofit organizations.
• Review Superfund site documents, conduct mathematical modeling, write and edit reports.
• Collaborate frequently with employees from related disciplines.
• Analyze and interpret scientific data as required for projects.

• Ph.D. plus 5 years of experience with hazardous waste remediation.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and data analysis skills.
• Applied experience with quantitative research activities in an academic or professional setting.
• Experience developing written products for technical and non‑technical audiences.
