Responsibilities
- Serve customers and present and sell merchandise consistent with the brand.
- Provide merchandising suggestions to management that may improve sales.
- Build a personal client book.
- Operate the POS system: perform routine register transactions, inventory receiving and transfers, and opening and closing of registers and the store.
- Learn, reference, and troubleshoot the POS software in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
- Share current product knowledge with customers, giving prompt recommendations and professional service to enhance their shopping experience.
- Participate actively in all store-related meetings, working toward exceeding sales and service performance goals set by store management.
- Operate the store consistently with the prescribed company policies and procedures.
- Provide ideas to grow and improve the business, including merchandising, staffing, floor displays, store fixtures, advertising, promotion, and hours of operation.
- Safeguard store assets: maintain inventory integrity, prevent shrinkage, assist in cycle counts and year-end physical inventory.
- Open and close registers and the store in the absence of the manager or assistant manager.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of retail experience.
- Advanced computer skills, proficient with Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and take initiative when needed.
- Enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision or direction.
- Comfortable with flexibility and problem‑solving.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
