Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

$17.00 to $18.50 per hour. Commission available up to 8% on transactions, averaging $1.00 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business, greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The role involves working with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Handles sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and to be firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their performance. Additional details are provided during the interview process.
