Responsibilities
- Partner with the store manager to ensure the store meets financial targets and key metrics.
- Monitor sales targets and other performance metrics, providing feedback and analysis.
- Manage store staff schedules to maximize sales, traffic flow, floor coverage, and customer engagement.
- Lead by example, modeling the company’s core values and creating a high‑performing team.
- Handle conflict and maintain a positive team dynamic.
- Supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching on sales, product knowledge, and customer service.
- Execute effective store communications, ensuring staff is involved and updated.
- Maintain the company’s aesthetic across all touch points (associate presentation, dress code, visual standards, maintenance, merchandising).
- Assist in recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of store staff.
- Ensure visual merchandising and maintenance standards are met at all times.
- Adhere to operational policies, including accurate POS entry, bank deposits, opening/closing stores, merchandise receipts and transfers, and visual merchandising of the sales floor.
- Execute cash handling and reporting functions.
- Enforce people policies and process accurate employee paperwork (payroll, time/attendance, changes, discipline).
- Protect company assets and enforce loss‑prevention policies.
- Perform other duties as necessary to support the business.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4+ years retail experience with at least 2 years supervisory/management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Basic retail mathematics skills.
- Experience with POS systems.
- Exposure to merchandising and visual concepts.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Comfortable with conflict resolution and interpreting company policies.
- Analytical mindset and problem‑solving ability.
- Excellent multitasking and organization skills.
- Natural leader who enjoys hands‑on “doing.”
