Part Time Dairy Frozen Clerk

Job Overview

Part time warehouse associate. Responsible for processing/stocking products according to Dairy/Frozen Standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. Perform duties of frozen food clerk when assigned.

Associates must be at least 16 years of age. High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer orientation and willingness to complete required training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to present information effectively to customers, clients, and other associates who only speak English.
• Mathematical skills: add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform operations with units of American money and weight measurement.
• Reasoning ability: apply commonsense understanding to detailed written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Complete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, and product knowledge.

Regular standing, walking, use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. Occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and reach from 6-72 inches. Vision required: close, color, and depth perception.

Work in a cool environment with average temperature of 34-36°F; exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold in freezer at minus 20°F. Noise level moderate to loud.
