Job Summary
We are seeking a Regional Sales Director (New Business) for the Mid Atlantic region with a focus on: TN, NC, VA, WV, PA, MD and DE. This professional top-performer will be an organized self-starter, who loves to hunt for new opportunities and can work independently. This position will focus exclusively on new business development as an individual contributor role. You will report to the National Vice President of Sales and are responsible for profitable market growth of new opportunities within the K-12 public school market.
The role involves selling the premier SSC brand and support services; the candidate will be based in the specified region near a major airport.
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 plus commissions. Territory: TN, NC, VA, WV, PA, MD and DE. This position offers earning potential of $200K+ with base salary and commissions. Key Responsibilities- Strong sales and sales-related function skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and oral presentations
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Exceed annual new business target/quota
- Cold calling, prospecting, networking and discipline to develop markets
- Strong time management and territory development skills
- Identify necessary support resources to successfully close new business
- Computer skills including CRM, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
- High energy, positive attitude and excellent communication/presentation skills
- BA or equivalent
- Authentic new business hunter
- Ability to build strategic relationships with experience to work 6+ month sales cycles
- 3+ years sales experience; new business focus – K-12 sales experience a plus
- Track record of exceeding sales quotas with strong desire to win
- Developing winning sales proposals and responding to complex RFPs
- Logical thinking and a commonsense approach
- High energy, strong executive presence, and excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- Motivated with the desire to earn well over $150K
- Up to 75% travel within the territory
- Strong computer skills and ability to work with a CRM database
- High personal accountability and integrity
- Experience building relationships leading to wins
