Supplier Manager - Palo Alto Federal Sales
Job DescriptionArrow Electronics is seeking a Public Sector Supplier Manager to drive sales growth, manage supplier relationships, and strengthen partnerships within the Federal and SLED (State, Local, and Education) markets. This role requires a strategic leader who can collaborate with suppliers, expand market share, and support the sales team in public sector procurement and partner enablement. The ideal candidate will have experience in public sector sales, supplier management, and working with reseller and channel partners.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with public sector-focused suppliers, distributors, and reseller partners to drive sales growth and expand Arrow's market presence.
- Act as a liaison between sales teams, suppliers, and corporate leadership to resolve product-related issues and drive alignment.
- Identify key market segments and reseller partners to expand customer reach and Net New Sales Business (NSB).
- Partner with the Federal and SLED partner ecosystem to develop go-to-market strategies and enable channel success.
- Lead business planning efforts, including supplier reviews, pipeline management, and performance analysis.
- Support public sector sales teams by providing guidance on large opportunities, contract vehicles, and procurement strategies.
- Implement supplier engagement initiatives such as EDI/Rosetta Net transactions, backlog management, barcoding, and sales enablement tools.
- Assess team needs, skills gaps, and recruitment strategies to support continued growth.
- 3-5 years of cybersecurity (Palo Alto strongly preferred) sales experience in public sector sales, supplier management, or partner enablement.
- Proven experience working with public sector reseller partners, distributors, and OEMs.
- Strong understanding of Federal and SLED procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance.
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and managing MDF funds.
- Preferred:
Experience working with distribution models and supplier relationship management. - Ability to develop business strategies, drive revenue growth, and build strong industry relationships.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales pipeline management.
Hybrid: 3 days in office/2 days remote
