Senior Security Manager - CPSO

We are looking for a Senior Security Manager – CPSO with solid personnel security experience to join our team. The role will be based in Herndon, VA and include implementing policies and programs to ensure government compliance and managing day‑to‑day operations for one of our intelligence community customers.

• Perform the duties of Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) in support of our Intelligence Community (IC) customers.
• Utilize your knowledge and experience supporting IC agencies in personnel, information and physical security while establishing site procedures and carrying out the mission.
• Process and maintain employee clearances, access, visit certifications, badges, document control, briefings, debriefings, security database records, and onboarding.
• Work with government customers to obtain accreditation and approval, including submitting Fixed Facility Checklists, Construction Security Plans and Tempest Checklists.
• Ensure implementation of security measures that comply with 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM, ICDs, SEADs, relevant executive orders, laws, and contractual requirements.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with government customers and internal teams, collaborating with the Headquarters Security Team in Arlington to ensure consistent policies.
• Prepare and complete security inspections and audits requested by government customers.
• Coordinate and monitor highly sensitive aspects of special security programs, ensuring compliance with government and company policies and procedures.
• Provide agency‑level technical expertise concerning physical security, industrial security, and contractor clearance processes.
• Assist the customer in establishing classified network connectivity.

• Bachelor’s degree or related experience.
• 5+ years of related security management work experience with IC.
• Solid experience with personnel security and one or more additional disciplines—physical, technical, cyber, and/or operational—with willingness to become proficient in all.
• Practical knowledge of security databases such as DISS, e‑QUIP and Scattered Castles.
• Working knowledge of ICDs and ability to integrate ICD requirements into a security program.
• Knowledge of NISPOM 32 CFR Part 117 and ICDs.
• Experience managing SCIFs/SAPFs across various government agencies.
• Experience writing SOP manuals, procedures, and OPSEC plans.
• Working knowledge of COMSEC account procedures and encryption device keying.

• Candidate must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph.
